2018-19 Open House Dates
Led by current students and parents, our Open Houses afford interested families an opportunity to see Prairie through the eyes of those who know the school best. You’ll meet teachers, participate in interactive games and experiments, ask questions – basically everything you need to experience to see for yourself what makes Prairie so special!

Fall Musical Family Preview Day
The MS Players will perform Seussical JR. Nov. 15-17th in Prairie’s John Mitchell Theatre. We are pleased to invite your family to a special preview show on Wed., Nov. 14th at 10AM. If you’re interested in attending this free performance, please contact the Admission Office with your ticket request no later than Fri., Nov. 9th.
2019-20 Placement Exams
All interested MS and US applicants entering grades 5-12 are invited to sit for the Fall Placement Test on Saturday, October 27th. A Winter Placement Test will be offered on Saturday, February 9th, 2019. Testing will begin at 8:30AM and last approximately two and a half hours.
Mini Masters Series
Held the second Saturday of every month (October through March) for prospective students and families, these up-tempo classes with Prairie faculty will introduce children ages 1 to 3 to a variety of important concepts, while also affording parents and kids the chance to participate in some of Primary School’s favorite lessons!
Early School Discovery Day
Early School Discovery Days afford your child a chance to be assessed for pre-kindergarten readiness. During the observation, parents are required to stay on campus for an important informational session during which they can ask questions about Prairie. Please note: interested candidates must submit an application prior to their scheduled Discovery Day.
Student Shadow Day
Visit us to experience a day in the life of Prairie Hawk! All students are required to spend a day at Prairie as part of the application process. Applicants for Early School and Kindergarten will be scheduled for a 3-hour morning visit. Applicants for Grades 1-12 will spend the full academic day at Prairie. Visits are scheduled most any day by contacting the Admission Office.
