Important 7th & 8th Trip Reminder

All medications (prescription and/or nonprescription) must be turned into the Health Office no later than Wednesday, May 27. Please do not bring medications on departure day as they must be catalogued and packed in advance.

Encore! Concert

On Thursday, May 28, 5th and 6th Grade musicians in Band and Strings as well as 5th – 8th Grade students in Choir, will present Encore! a year-end celebration showcasing our Middle School music ensembles. There is no admission, and it will be held in the John Mitchell Theatre at 7:00 p.m. We look forward to having you join us!

Gr. 8 Cookout

This year’s 8th Grade Commencement ceremony will be preceded by a celebratory cookout on Thursday, May 28 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. on the blacktop and playground area. In case of rain, the festivities will take place in the Field House. Thank you to those who contributed to this year’s meal! We’re still in need of one package of small adult white t-shirts (5 t-shirts in a package). Please contact Callie Atanasoff if you can contribute (catanasoff@prairieschool.com / 262.752.2531).

Gr. 8 Commencement

Commencement begins at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 29; students must arrive by 1:30 p.m. The last day of school for the 8th graders is Thursday, May 28.

Open Gyms

The final Open Gym for 6th and 7th graders will take place on Friday, May 29 in the Field House. Open Gym for 4th and 5th graders will take place on Thursday, June 4 on the playground or, in case of rain, in the Field House. Both events will run from 6 to 8:00 p.m. and pizza will be served at 7:30 p.m. The cost to attend is $5; please return permission slips to the Middle School Office.

Gr 8-10 Parent College Preview

A Q&A college preview session will take place on Sunday, May 31 from 1 – 2:30 p.m. in the Upper School Commons; please enter at door #8. In case you missed the fall and winter sessions, this is a great opportunity to ask questions about the college process.

Lost and Found

Please visit the table set up outside of the Middle School Office; many items need to be found! Articles left behind after the end of the school year will be donated to Halo.

MS Summer Reading

The 2015 MS Summer Reading Guide is now available! This year’s guide includes a list of book choices for English and Social Studies as well as expectations for the activities/projects the English Department would like students to complete before the new school year. Families are required to purchase books — new or used — from their store of choice. Read More…
